I design creative systems that transform how storytelling is produced, taught, and scaled.

Creative systems designer and AI-driven storytelling strategist working at the intersection of animation, human–AI collaboration, and production design. I help studios, institutions, and creative teams build systems that increase output and accelerate timelines while keeping authorship intact.

Eighteen-plus years of industry work, paired with research in human–computer co-creation, as an Assistant Professor at NC State, a BEDAC Mellon Fellow, and a Telly Award-winning creative director.

Life Time Fitness — Community-Driven Production System

A distributed pipeline that shipped a national spot in four weeks.

I designed and directed a production framework that folded emerging creators and AI-assisted workflows into a professional pipeline — distributed teams running in parallel, holding one creative intent from brief to delivery.

The production system

Production reframed from a linear task list into a coordinated structure of decisions. AI accelerates throughput where it can; human judgment stays in the loop where it must. This is the artifact I deliver — and the team keeps it running after I leave.

About Iyare

Director · Artist · Filmmaker

I'm an artist first — a director who treats craft, image, and story as the point, not the by-product.

My work lives where animation, film, and emerging tools meet: building worlds, shaping motion and color, and chasing the frame that makes someone feel something. Eighteen-plus years of directing and making have taught me that taste is the real engine — technology only matters in service of the image. I bring AI into the studio the way I'd bring any new instrument: to widen what's possible, never to replace the hand or the eye behind it.

That practice is grounded in craft and study — eighteen-plus years across animation, VFX, and film, research into human–machine co-creation, a BEDAC Mellon Fellowship, and a Telly Award for creative direction.
